The old base-12 number system, old number words, intrinsic numerical meanings, and specific Cycle/Turn/Span/Ril/Trell conversions are retired. Current Gaian language uses a base-7 architecture.
Native units remain an open worldbuilding category. Time measures should plausibly arise from Gaerath astronomical cycles, work/rest patterns, habitat operations, maintenance intervals, and later scientific standardization. Distance measures can arise from ordinary body-scale measurement, travel, surveying, and engineering.
Gaian engineering will also require technical units for magnetic fields, gradients, pressure, atmospheric composition, vibration, radiation, material stress, energy flow, and other measurable phenomena relevant to its technological history.
Numbers need not carry inherent symbolic meanings. Cultural associations with particular numbers may develop historically, but Gaian mathematics should remain capable of being ordinary mathematics.
