An older S&T insert proposed stress-activated genetic and hormonal systems allowing Gaians to change reproductive roles, with corresponding morphogenetic changes and a culture of cyclical gender fluidity. It also linked this architecture to Rowan and Tadhg.
This branch conflicts with the later premise that ancient Gaians were not genetically engineered for survival and with current character/lineage architecture. It also overstates what epigenetic switching can plausibly accomplish in an adult mammalian body.
Preserved for development history and possible cultural inspiration only. It should not be used to explain Rowan, Tadhg, Gaian gender identity or reproduction unless deliberately revived and rebuilt.
