Danu is DOG’s primary tragic antagonist: a child wounded by maternal loss and Heka’s withdrawal who learns to treat control as protection. Kraethe cultivates that adaptation into political doctrine. Her tragedy is not that trauma makes her evil, but that she turns a private wound into a governing system and mistakes domination for safety.
