Recovered architecture: ancient Earth colonists were unmodified and adapted through difficult environmental, physiological and cultural processes. Genetic Earth-adaptation is a later Heka-era breakthrough on Gaerath. Anne/Maerlin, derived from Danu, becomes an early successful Earth-adapted Gaian; Rowan/Kaia is subsequently gestated by Anne using further refinements.
This is compatible with the useful distinction that Heka did not simply possess ancient perfect adaptation technology: he reconstructed and advanced biological science. TAL/AMC terminology remains WORKING rather than established mechanism.
Current guardrail: Rowan must not be genetically programmed toward cooperation, compassion, moral worthiness, or a preferred psychological state. Her physiology can be compatible with Earth and with Fin’s interface, but her moral choices remain hers.
The older description of Anne as merely a gestation vessel/prototype is also too reductive for the current character. Her consent, motives, personhood and relationship to Danu/Rowan need to be established narratively rather than inferred from clone biology.

- Is Anne definitively the first genetically modified Gaian in history?
- Was Anne created originally for Earth adaptation, or did that purpose develop later?
- What exactly does Rowan inherit from Anne versus Danu?
- Which TAL/AMC concepts survive?
