Strong surviving architecture: Aravaen is Danu’s mother; Danu once admired her; her death becomes a formative wound; and Kraethe exploits the aftermath by teaching Danu that softness, hesitation, or trust caused the loss and that control is the only reliable protection.

Heka may have trusted or loved Aravaen deeply, giving her death personal as well as political consequence for him. This can also contribute to the later meaning of the Ma’at resistance.

Specific older details—including the title ‘First Breath Sovereign,’ exact assassination staging, barefoot/private-audience death, last words, sigil, archive haiku, and a prophecy explicitly predicting Kaia—remain WORKING rather than canon.

Open questions

  • Lock Aravaen's exact political title and relationship to Heka.
  • Was Aravaen assassinated directly by Kraethe/Aegir, and what evidence does Danu later learn?
  • Does Aravaen leave any prophecy at all?
  • Is Ma'at named partly in Aravaen's memory, and how explicit is that connection?
