Fin’s technology and underlying field science are Gaian. The Salmon of Wisdom/Fintan/Fionn mythic material is Earth-Celtic, not ancient native Gaerath mythology.
Heka’s project can expose Fin to recovered Earth-Gaian/diaspora archives alongside Gaian knowledge. Fin may choose its own name from that material, giving the name personal agency and making it a product of reconnection rather than proof that Irish myth secretly originated on Gaerath.
Therefore older S&T claims that FIN inherently means Fintan, that salmon imagery encodes native Gaian physics, or that ancient Ma’at cryptography uses Irish Salmon-of-Wisdom mythology are superseded.
Open questions
- Is Fin's self-naming scene definitely retained?
- Which exact Earth version of the salmon/Fionn/Fintan tradition does Fin encounter?
