Reconciled Culture Note
Mauris is an Earth-descended survivor of ancient Gaian ancestry, roughly 500–300 BCE in the Mediterranean world. Because of the Forgetting he does not know his extraterrestrial ancestry. Mottling and the Living Ground/Gha’eya tradition preserve fragments of that ancestry.
